Business Address: Unit 141-12233 92 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3V 7S2 Work Location: Various locations (Cross-border, Regional, National, International) Wage: $36.60 per hour Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week (Overtime required) Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 10 Positions Language: English Role Overview Sikh Empire Trucking Ltd. is hiring 10 Long Haul Truck Drivers based out of Surrey, BC for regional, national, and international cross-border routes. The position involves driving straight trucks and tractor-trailers, managing cargo safety, completing trans-border documentation, and maintaining continuous dispatch communication. Key Responsibilities • Driving & Transport: Operate straight trucks (4,600kg+) and tractor-trailers to transport goods, dangerous goods, and materials; drive solo, as part of a two-person team, or in convoy. • Cargo & Maintenance: Load, unload, tarp, and secure cargo; perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and routine maintenance checks. • Inspections & Vehicle Oversight: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; check tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and safety equipment. • Logistics & Documentation: Maintain driver logbooks, bills of lading, inspection/trip reports, maintenance records, and trans-border documentation; operate GPS and relay progress to central dispatch. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: High school graduation. • Experience: No experience required (Training provided). • Licensing & Credentials: Class 1 or Class A Driver's License with Air Brakes Endorsement. • Security & Safety Screening: Valid passport, driving record check (abstract), and drug testing. • Travel Requirements: Willing to travel cross-border, overnight, internationally, and for extended periods. • Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs), extended sitting, high attention to detail.
