Framer Carpenter Employer: Punjab Construction Ltd. Main Location: 2134 Lonsdale Cr, Abbotsford, BC V2T 1C4 Work Location: Various site locations across Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley Wage: $39.00 per hour Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Day, Evening, or Weekend availability required) Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 2 Positions Language: English Role Overview Punjab Construction Ltd. is seeking 2 experienced Framer Carpenters to work on construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley. The position involves building wood structures, interpreting blueprints, installing interior/exterior finishes, estimating material costs, and mentoring apprentices. Key Responsibilities • Carpentry & Framing: Measure, cut, and construct wood structures; install fixtures, counters, trim, siding, roofing, and custom woodworking elements. • Blueprints & Compliance: Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and job specifications; ensure all work strictly complies with building codes and safety regulations. • Site Work & Equipment: Perform site demolition and preparation when required; operate power saws, drills, hammers, and manual hand tools; maintain a clean, organized work area. • Project Estimation & Collaboration: Estimate material and labor costs for individual projects; collaborate with sub-trades, contractors, and team members; train and guide apprentices. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: No formal education requirement. • Experience: 2 to 3 years of professional framing/carpentry experience required. • Languages: English. • Working Conditions: Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg); willing to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
