Cook Employer: Dawat-E-Khas Location: 80 Pertosa Drive, Suite 1, Brampton, ON L6X 5E9 (On-site) Wage: $37.00 per hour Hours: 30 hours per week Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Position Language: English Role Overview Dawat-E-Khas in Brampton, ON is seeking an experienced Cook to manage kitchen operations, plan menus, prepare complete meals and specialty dishes, supervise kitchen staff, and organize catering for buffets and banquets. Key Responsibilities • Culinary Preparation & Planning: Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for dietary requirements or allergies; plan menus, estimate food requirements, and organize buffets/banquets. • Kitchen Management & Operations: Manage overall kitchen operations; inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure strict hygiene and safety standards; clean kitchen and work areas. • Staff Leadership & Training: Recruit, hire, supervise, and train kitchen staff and helpers in food preparation, cooking, and safe handling procedures. • Inventory & Purchasing: Determine portion sizes and food costs; requisition and order food supplies and equipment; maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and kitchen tools. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of professional cooking experience. • Languages: English. • Work Conditions: Fast-paced, high-pressure environment; physically demanding (handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks); high attention to detail. • Personal Suitability: Client-focused, dependable, flexible, organized, reliable, good judgment, initiative, and strong team player.
